Within just a few weeks the nonstick coating became completely non-functional, even though it was not scratched or visibly damaged.With or without oil, food stuck as badly as on a metal pan.

The removable pan *sounded* like a convenience--making it easier to clean.But this turns out to be a bad idea.The pan being physically separate from the heating element, it takes longer to heat up, and temperature control is not as good.It struggles to keep it hot.With liquid in the pan, sometimes I had to keep it on a high setting just to achieve a mild simmer.

This went into the garbage can after less than 20 uses.
