I own mostly Calphalon nonstick cookware and this was my first hard anodized purchase.

This has become my favorite pan for cooking chicken, pork chops, and steak. It heats evenly and quickly. It browns the meat beautifully and releases the food well if you've cooked it properly. The pan is a good size for two people.

Now that I have a bigger family, I'll have to upgrade to a bigger size.

Product Description:
A useful addition to any busy kitchen, this 9-inch chef's skillet with lid offers gently curved sides and a depth that nicely contains up to 2 quarts. Use it for anything from braising or searing meat, tofu, or vegetables to making pasta sauce or cooking side dishes. The skillet provides a secure-fitting lid to help keep in moisture, nutrients, and flavor, plus a long handle that helps keep hands a safe distance from the heat. The versatile chef's skillet with lid measures approximately 15 by 8 by 4-1/5 inches.
Made of heavy-gauge, highly conductive aluminum, Calphalon's Commercial Hard-Anodized Cookware collection distributes heat quickly and evenly with no hot spots to worry about. The cookware features a durable hard-anodized finish that makes it stick-resistant and non-reactive to food so tomato-based sauces and other acidic foods won't taste metallic. Even more, it comes equipped with balanced stainless-steel handles that minimize heat transfer for stay-cool use on the stovetop and secure transport from the stovetop to the oven to the table. The all-metal cookware can be safely used in the oven and under the broiler up to 450 degrees F and should be hand washed with a mild cleanser. The cookware carries a lifetime warranty.
