(More customer reviews)I had a different (non stick Revere 12" skillet) with a lid.I babied it and the surface still fell apart!:(After looking for another one (to go with the lid I already had)...I could NOT find one.I especially couldn't find a skillet without the non stick surface.So, I had to buy one by mail-order instead>< This skillet is more rounded than the Revere ware, so the lid does not fit snuggly.But, it does all right.I really like this skillet for its stainless steel surface...none of this non stick stuff that never lasts><
