(More customer reviews)This Deni electric skillet is large enough to fry a whole chicken, and is non stick. We like using it to save energy and keep the kitchen cool during the Summer. It also means no stove or cook top to clean, which is a real plus! Portable, too, to take that hot dish to the pot luck, and keep it hot! But compare to it the new RECTANGLE electric skillet: West Bend 72215 12-by-15-Inch Extra-Deep Skillet which is our favorite. The West Bend has even higher sides (3 inches) and is easier to use because it is not ROUND, but long - it measures 15 inches in length. We even bake an excellent lasagne in the West Bend because the lasagne noodles fit exactly! So we actually bought BOTH of these, but if forced to choose, the West Bend is a much better price and seems to be more useful.

(More customer reviews)I have had other electric skillets over the years-never one as good as this one.Holds a roast -the high lid is a big plus,fries eggs etc.etc. It is just one great skillet. It cooks evenly,heats up fast, very easy to clean.
Washes up with a squirt of soap and a plastic scrubby-no need for the dishwasher.
I may not need my stove top anymore.
