This 9.4-inch fry pan features a base made of seven different alloys (3mm thick), including stainless steel and an aluminum core. The layers extend from the base up to the rim of the pan so heat spreads evenly over the entire surface-exactly what's needed when frying, even over low heat. The Multiglide coating is a hard coating based on synthetic diamond crystals, guaranteeing nonstick protection. It will never loosen, except when severely overheated. This durable coating is easy to clean and suitable for the dishwasher, though it shouldn't be exposed to sharp utensils nor used in the oven under the grill.
Because of Demeyere's unique surface treatment, the pan's stainless steel remains silvery white, even after years of cleaning in the dishwasher, and fingerprints are easy to remove. The molded, 18/10 stainless-steel handle is easy to grasp, stops heat conduction, and is attached without rivets (where food and grease often stick). It features a hanging hole to store and display the pan. All Demeyere Multiglide cookware is dishwasher safe and oven safe to 600 degrees F.
