(More customer reviews)I would just like to point out that for the same price as this lid, you can get the 12-inch "everyday pan" which comes with an anodized aluminum lid that is higher arched than this one, and weighs slightly less.So not only do you get a better lid for the price, which fits your Calphalon saute pan, but you get a nice extra pan to boot!

Vollrath Nonstick Fry Pan 10" Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these Vollrath frying pans at a local retail store.The pan did fine for a while, but then the non-stick coating began coming off the center part of the pan. We only used plastic and wooden utensils with this pan, so it is not our fault the coating is coming off. Vollrath only warrants their pans for 90 days, so I am just out of luck.I wish I had bought a $10 pan from Walmart rather than this one. I hope you have better luck than I did with this rather pricy piece of cookware.

(More customer reviews)Such mixed reviews on these pans!I had to order these twice because as another reviewer stated..lousey packaging.They arrived damaged.While Ihave not noticed the nonstick coming off, I do have to agree that these are not a good 5 year pan.They are poorly balanced, that meaning the handle is heavier than the pan and it will not sit flat on the burner, everything you cook slides toward the handle. I'll continue to use these until I find a replacement....then out they go!

(More customer reviews)i agree that the pan does have a certain limited life expectancy, especially under heavy use...but for those moderate cooks, it will hold up for a few years.I have had mine for about 2.5 years and i am a moderate cook myself.It is a great pan at a great price.Good heat distribution and light-weight materials, yet rather sturdy.The handle does wobble a bit, but its stayed in place just fine.This is my pan of choice for browning or caramelizing onions and garlic!! C'est magnifique!!Great pan at this price!!!

(More customer reviews)Eggs stuck like crazy the first time I tried very disappointed did some research on the internet about cooking eggs I decided to try the following..... 1. warmed the eggs to near room temp by placing in warm water for 10 minutes 2. coated the pan with a little olive oilapprox 1 TB3. Preheated pan on medium to medium high(7 out of 10 on my ceramic cooktop stove) for approx. 2 min 30 secPan surface temp 200 degrees4. added 1 Tb butter and coated pan then added eggs cooked approx 4 minto perfection....... eggs did not sticksurface of pan remained very slippery......
Amazing difference cooking the eggs this way.... I have an infrared thermometer to test the surface temp of the pan which I highly recommend..... I'm not sure if warming the eggs is essential for nonsticking, or exactly how hot the pan should be but since I've used this method several times with absolutely no sticking I'll continue this way
The pan is beautiful and appears very well made..... I'm hoping it will last many yearstime will tell
If you were worried about cooking eggs on an enameled pan because of sticking problemsgive it a try

(More customer reviews)I found this set to be the best buy for getting the basics. The non-stick pans are great for sautéing and eggs come out unbelievable. There is a good variety in this set. The handles have a sturdy construction and are always cool to the touch. Having glass lids is also helpful to watch food without loosing heat while cooking. I cook a lot and buy many different types of cookware depending on what I'm making, so this set is a good base to start with and build on.

Chantal Copper Fusion 8" Fry Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I love the look and feel of this pan. It has a good weight to it-- very solid.

So far, I have used it to make scrabbled eggs, and it was fairly easy to clean up. I melted some butter over low heat, added the egg mixture, and then cooked it over medium heat. To clean it, I just used one of those nylon scrubbers and some hot soapy water, and it only took a few minutes to clean. It is a little more work than teflon, but I am very pleased with it. The thing to remember about these pans is that a lower cooking temperature is needed, and if you only use as much heat as is needed, then food won't get burnt onto the pan. The eggs did leave a "skin" on the bottom of the pan, but it came right out when I washed the pan.

I have used a larger Chantal pan to make Alfredo sauce in, and that was easy to clean up as well. I mostly use it to make curry and other sauce-based creations, and it is great for those.

(More customer reviews)I got this item this past week and have used it 3 times.It looks beautiful right out of the packaging but the looks don't hold up.The lustre turned lack lustre after the first washing.After the 3rd washing the inside of the pan looks like I've had it at least a year, there are lines and discoloration.I followed manufacturers recommedations and cooked over a low heat and seasoned before the first use.It does heat quickly in that respect I would give it 5 stars.It's listed as 10.25 inches but is actually 10.5 inches.

It's a great piece of cookware, I've been very satisfied with the all the outcomes.It has been very convenient going from stove top to the oven and the nonstick feature makes it very easy to clean.Great alternative to the crock pot as far as taste.The only reason I gave it four stars is because the bottom of the pan, looking in, started to become a faint multi-color.. not sure if this is supposed to happen.It's not rust, it's still smooth and definitely still usable, but it's just no longer solid black.

(More customer reviews)I actually bought this solely for the handles, not for camping, but for household use.Risky...but worth a try in the 4 for 3 bargain. It cooks excellent, doesn't give off that "non-stick" stink, works nicely on glass top stove, sits nice and flat, good quality with a medium weight, not super heavy but not anywhere close to thin or flimsy, and the absolute greatest part of all.............THE HANDLES FOLD UP!!!!!I want all my pots and pans with these handles, made for household use!!!!!

One complaint - the handle have no latch to hold them together.It would be nice it there was a little metal hook or latch or something so when you are cooking, they can't fold back against the hot pan.It didn't happen but I had to be careful when I was working with the food in the pan to make sure each time I stopped that I left the handles in the perfect OUT position.

BUT AGAIN.....PLEASE MAKE MORE, IN EVERY SHAPE AND SIZE, EVERY KIND OF POT AND PAN NEEDED FOR A COMPLETE KITCHEN SET! WHAT A TERRIFIC INVENTION!WHAT A SPACE SAVER!more more morePLEASE!!!!!

Pro-Clad saucepan, it does not exist!If you order it, you will get a saute pan, not a sauce pan (not even close to the same thing, FYI).I really wish there was a way to get a 4 qt. saucepan, but your only choice is to either go with the cheaper Emerilware "Stainless" line with the copper clad bottom, or fork over the big$ for the All-Clad stainless pan ($199.95 yikes!).I wish Amazon would fix this...I almost ordered if for my wife before I called All-Clad to check and they verified it does not exist!

(More customer reviews)I like the pan -- except I wish it were deeper.I was trying to replace a Farberware Millenium 10" pan that was 3.3" deep.The product description said this was 3.6" deep.It isn't.I like to use the pan, not just for omelettes, but for anything that needs to be sauteed and then cooked with a lid.I can't do it -- too shallow.

I decided to keep it and not return it, although I am having second thoughts due to the high price.The nonstick surface does work great, and the glass cover is great.
