(More customer reviews)I got this item this past week and have used it 3 times.It looks beautiful right out of the packaging but the looks don't hold up.The lustre turned lack lustre after the first washing.After the 3rd washing the inside of the pan looks like I've had it at least a year, there are lines and discoloration.I followed manufacturers recommedations and cooked over a low heat and seasoned before the first use.It does heat quickly in that respect I would give it 5 stars.It's listed as 10.25 inches but is actually 10.5 inches.

(More customer reviews)I'm not all that crazy about nonstick pans as I've heard there can be some ill health effects from the chemicals used in the nonstick surfaces.However, they are extremely convenient, and I also read that the chemicals are being phased out.This pan is advertised by Le Creuset as having a "forged hard-anodized non stick surface" and the surface seems much "tougher" than the old Teflon skillet we had before... less susceptible to scratches and seems much more durable.The pan itself is quite heavy, substantial and distributes heat well.The non stick surface works well, releasing food with no issues without any need for oil or sprays.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and can recommend this pan.

(More customer reviews)I was skeptical of the value of this frying pan, but being a fan of the brand, I decided to plunk down my hard earned dollars and take a chance.Boy am I glad that I did!This is a thick pan that heats evenly and doesn't warp like so many of the thinner nonstick products.The handle is hollow and the overall weight of the pan is much lighter than Le Creuset's typical cast iron pans.I have cooked hashbrowns, eggs, pork, burgers, chicken, fried rice, etc. in this pan and it works well for everything.Clean-up is a breeze.Le Crueset says it is dishwasher safe (although it might discolor) but recommends hand washing.The instructions recommend seasoning the pan with vegetable oil before its first use.I did this and haven't had to use any non-stick spray for anything.Cooking meat in this pan surprised me.With the pan on a medium setting, I am able to brown the meat and seal in the flavor much like a cast iron pan. They also make a slightly deeper version of the pan which is great if you like to cook all-in-one stove top meals.The deeper version has a fitted lid that costs twenty dollars extra.

(More customer reviews)I just recently bought the 8 pc. set of stainless steel cookware from le creuset. I am a big fan of All Clad- which my parents have- and wanted something that could compete, but wasn't as expensive. I tested this pan against my mom's All Clad 9" non-stick skillet this morning. Here were my results:

This pan heated up slightly slower than the All Clad pan- but only by a second or two. Neither pan needed high temperatures to cook, and both finished eggs at about the same time.

Clean up was SO easy. No scrubbing at all. The finish on this skillet is beautiful. It comes with a 10 year warranty, too (because it is non-stick).

I would recommend this skillet to anyone looking for a great non-stick skillet that cooks evenly, has easy clean up, looks great, and is reasonably priced. The pan is heavy, which is nice for keeping it level on the stove, as well.

I bought this pot to replace my previous one that was very unreliable, and so far, this pot has been working perfectly. Once the lid was even dropped on the floor, and it didn't break. Not bad, huh?

I think I am going to order a couple more for Thanks Giving, two for myself, one for mom, and one for grandma. They'd love it.

The griddle covers the burners perfectly and the handles are easy to hold but are configured so the griddle fits a typcial gas range just right. The cheaper griddles tend to warp (after heating) and the expensive ones are usually too big for the standard gas range.Someone at KitchenAid did their homework.This griddle gives you the expensive perfomance (and look) but at a mid range price.

(More customer reviews)For me the most appealing feature is the welded on handle so there are no rivets or screw heads in the pan to collect cooked on food or to clean.What the picture doesn't show well is that the handle is a split "wire" type rather than solid or tubular, there is a thick heat diffusing disc on the bottom, and the sides of the pan are mirror finish, but the bottom and cooking surface are brushed finish.It seems to heat quickly and much more evenly than the teflon pan that I used before to grill sandwiches and fry eggs.

(More customer reviews)An electric skillet is a much underrated kitchen helper. Many benefits to it, including that it controls the heat and you can leave it unwatched. I own this skillet in a vacation house. Now I will buy it at Amazon for much less than I paid for the first one. This skillet is the best I have ever seen or used. It is heavy, cooks well (you do have to get used to the heat levels), cleans like a dream, goes through the dishwasher perfectly.
