(More customer reviews)I bought this lid for my 8" fry pan (after I called the company and was told it would work) and it does not fit.I called the company back and they stated "Oh yeh, we have been having that problem with these".They also stated that they do not have a lid that will fit the pan, but may make one in the future.Go figure??

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my two "classic" Revere Ware 2Qt pots (marked "Clinton, Ill") and steamer attachment and this piece fits fine on all three pieces. All of today's Revere Ware, including this lid, are made overseas. The pots now seem to be made of a much thinner gauge of steel, but this glass lid works fine.

Fitx-All Replacement Pan Handle Review

(More customer reviews)When a handle broke on a fry pan that saw daily use for more than 25 years, I looked for a replacement.How disappointing to find that this Fitz-All handle is the only one on the market!I didn't realize how nice the original handle was until I replaced it with this lightweight, flimsy handle.But that's not the problem - the problem is that it broke after only a couple of months.I bought a second one, which lasted seven months, and now I've ordered a third one.These handles apparently just can't stand up to the heat - they start showing cracks and then break.When I get the new one, I plan to put it on a deeper pan to keep it farther from the heat source.Also, I don't use the deep pan very often, so maybe the handle will last longer.

If anyone finds a better alternative, please post a message!Meanwhile, I'll have to keep buying these cheap handles...

(More customer reviews)This lid is different from the Calphalon lid offered at Target, and more expensive too.This one has a bevelled edge, and will fit pans with an inside diameter from 9 1/2 inches to 10 1/2 inches.I bought it for the "Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch International Griddle/Crepe Pan", which has a 9 3/4 inch inside diameter.This lid might work for you if your "antique" Calphalon lid is too big, as was the case for me.

Progressive International Stainless Steel Universal Lid Review

(More customer reviews)I specifically purchased this cover for a 12.5" skillet I have. It covers it well, but slides VERY easily since there is no edge grip to keep it in place, it's polished stainless steel, and extremely light. I was moving around some cookware on my range, and it almost fell off quite a few times. Also, the edge is somewhat "sharp" (be careful when handling), including the steam vent switch. But, it appears durable for the cost, is called a "universal" lid, and serves its purpose, so I can't complain too much.

The skillet was a great buy, but the only lid I had on hand was a heavy glass lid that came with some big pots I use. The glass lid is heavy and when I use it with the skillet and want to take the lid off the skillet to stir something, it wants to burn my fingers and I have to find somewhere to set it down. It drips condensed water over everything and stays hot for a while. I saw this stainless steel lid on Amazon and it looked like it would fit the skillet. It was also priced right, so I gave it a try.

This lid is perfect for my skillet. It is light and easy to handle. It fits the skillet perfectly and cools off fast. When taking it off the skillet to stir something cooking, it is easy to invert and set on the counter. I love it and store it with my skillet. I would buy this lid again.

(More customer reviews)Ordered this to use with my eight-inch Lodge cast iron pan. Same quality as Lodge pans, heavy and solid. Pretty straightforward- it does the job for which it was intended and it nests upside down in the pan nicely enough to store easily.

I do wonder why lids cost more than pans, but given none of the Lodge pans and lids are very expensive, especially compared to other cookware with much shorter lifespans, I don't have a problem with it.

Also, kudos to Amazon for continuing to mail even heavy items without shipping charges. That policy, and responsive customer service during this period of price gouging and an enraging lack of customer service across all industries, ensures I remain a loyal customer of Amazon.com. So two thumbs-up, Amazon!
