But the first time I used it, and cleaned it up, it had chips (chunks chipped out) on the ridges in the bottom of the pan. Otherwise it appears to work well. I guess time will tell if it was worth the amount of money spent on it.

When the time came for me to get a tea kettle, this was the one I looked for.I grew up with this one in the house, and it's just as great for my needs.Ok, being single, 3.5 quarts may be a bit bigger then I normally use, but I just add as much water as I need and set it on the stove.The water heats quickly.Steam sets off a whistle in the spout, and it can be heard with ease in any part of the house.
I looked at other Revere kettles, but found their handles and spout openers to be rather flimsy.Not so, here.This kettle will last for quite awhile.
As always, Revere has made a wonderful product.It's so easy, even this bachelor has no problem heating water.

ControlInduc means no more overheating.Even at maximum power, the skillet regulates the temperature (485 F).Many consumers and chefs often have problems finding the correct temperature for frying meat or fish or for making pancakes. When the food is overheated, it burns and sticks to the bottom of the pan.A product with a non-stick layer prevents the food from sticking, but at specific high temperatures, the coating will disintegrate and lose it's non-stick properties.Demeyere produced the first pans with the ControlInduc system that limits the maximum temperature to 485 F using induction cook tops. Even at full power, the skillet will regulate the cooking temperature.These products are available with non-stick coating (ControlInduc) or without coating (ProControl). (More customer reviews)This is an exceptionally nice quality pan for the price. Sure you can buy cheaper pans at a discount store, but they don't cook right, feel right or last very long. This pan is porcelain over aluminum on the entire outside including the bottom and the inside has a nonstick finish. Plus it lays perfectly flat on the bottom, which is very important when cooking on my ceramic glass top stove.

The non stick finish started to come off on myprevious 8 inch pan, it was time for a new one. I thought I'd try this KitchenAid pan since it had such good ratings here on Amazon. Besides this pan is much nicer looking than it's black counterpart.

I don't use a 8 inch pan often, I normally use my Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch International Griddle/Crepe Pan for most of my fry cooking." Which happens to be an excellent pan ".But this pan comes in handy for certain smaller items. The widest point on top of this pan is 8 1/2 inches and the inside frying aria is only 6 inches. That was a little smaller than I would have liked or anticipated. But that inside size is still workable for me. The walls of this pan has a steep slope allowing you to easily slide out eggs, omelets or what have you. It has an extremely nice looking handle, that is oven safe up to 400 degrees.

This is a nice looking more burgundy than red pan, that not only looks nice but cooks well also. It heats up fast and evenly and the nonstick finish releases the food nicely. I just hope the nonstick finish holds up with time.

(More customer reviews)OK this was my first good quality frying pan and I absolutely love it.

Fast and even heating, extremely easy cleanup, and best of all the red on this pan looks amazing. I highly recommend this pan to anyone, sure there is better stuff out there (Calphalon One), but for the price of this pan you can not beat the quality. So far I have only made eggs and they came out perfect, I am sure this pan will also be great for doing small stir fry, sauteing small portions, and frying just about anything you can think of.

I strongly advise anyone who gets this pan to read all the proper heating, and cleaning instructions before even using the pan.

Oh and forgot to mention the 1 year no hassle replacement warranty, can't beat that either, not sure I am ever going to have to use it but it's nice that it's there.

Need a good frying pan, like the color red, buy this now !!!

(More customer reviews)I've been using these pans for several weeks now and I've so far had no issue with them. Food seems to cook evenly and the pans heat up in an average time.

I would recommend these for anyone who is looking for a non-stick everyday cookware.

The only downside to this product are the rivets for the handles are on the inside of the pan. When cooking scrambled eggs, food will collect around the rivets. Not ideal for sanitary reasons if the pan isn't cleaned throughly. However it makes the construction sturdier.
